Alessia Kockel is a researcher at the University of Victoria who has been studying marine protected areas in the Philippines for the last 3 years. Under the guidance of Dr. Phil Dearden, her current Master’s research focuses on Sogod Bay in the Philippines to develop methodologies to improve community input into the design of MPA networks.
